Our Lady of Perpetual Exemptions

John Oliver of "Last Week Tonight" exposes televangelists' scamming of Americans (and the IRS).  Remember:  What these charlatans get away with ends up costing you and me more taxes. They're making hundreds of millions of dollars off of believers, who can hardly afford these contributions, so that these swindlers can buy themselves million dollar private jets and mansions, and, sadly, too many Christian Americans allow themselves to be conned. There's a direct connection here between these fake churches and televangelists and who they con and Donald Trump's popularity with a certain segment of the American population.  Think about it.

Another good reason to do away with all tax deductions including churches and charities and go to a Fair Tax. Why make everyone pay for something they don't believe in. As you pointed out, everyone pays for these crooks.
This is also the only way to get taxes from the underground economy.

Thanks for putting up the John Oliver clip. How morally bankrupt do you have to be to do televangelism? Really makes me hope there is a god.

Just wanted to add that these guys do a grave disservice to religious leaders who are serving God (if He exists) faithfully and doing their best for His flock here on Earth. Give 'em hell, Pope Frank!
