TRUMP SAYS IMMIGRANTS ARE CAUSING THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA.

Trump's paternal grandfather was born in Germany.
Trump's mother was born in Scotland
His first wife, Ivana, was born in Czechoslovakia.
His current wife, Melania, is from Slovenia.
FOX CEO Rupert Murdoch is an immigrant.
Trump supporter Elon Musk is an immigrant.

Both my parents were Italian immigrants.

What is this repugnant man talking about?

Fear! Fear! Fear!

That's all he has to offer America. And lies.

Trump’s white-nationalist sidekick wants to kick out millions of people simply because they’re “coming in from different cultures.”

The easily duped cultists continue their full throated support for America's top Bigot and Narcissist.

A man totally lacking any moral compass and void of basic human decency.

Admiring Adolph Hitler rRump has patterned his campaign(s) and tactics on Hitler's political model.

Trumps against immigrants? Or ILLEGAL immigration? He's not an immigration ABSOLUTIST like most members of the Democratic Party seeking voters? Who knew?

I don't know why he doesn't say what he means: Immigrants of dark skin coming from south of the border. It would make absolutely no difference to his supporters, in fact, they would welcome his defining of the people they should fear and hate.

-FJ... Trump and his advisors have spoken specifically against "immigration" writ large.

Forbes.com, no friend of liberals and progressives, reported that by July of 2020, President Trump and his admin had reduced legal immigration by 49%. And that the push started on day one of his presidency.

Many other publications and think tanks have reported on this as well.

Now, as I am sure you will disagree or malign all those sources, if you choose to respond, please cite the sources you use and trust for your information.

It is my opinion, that Trump is a successor to the nativist Pat Buchanan. Buchanan advocated forcefully for a pause in all immigration until "America had a chance to assimilate" the immigrants we'd taken in.

This is the same Pat Buchanan who shared the election of then candidate Nixon. Speaking of that election he said on a CNN special that the campaign's big worry in 1968 was George Wallace. The campaign he said, was very concerned that the racist Wallace and his campaign across the south, would steal those racists voters away from Nixon.

Buchanan, the nativist, like Trump, called those voters Nixon voters.

Trump and his advisors also want to deny legal immigration to people from certain countries. That's akin to the early 20th century ban on immigration from Asia based on a belief of their inability to assimilate into America.

Anyone who does not see DJT as looking to limit both legal and illegal immigration is simply choosing to see the writing on the wall.

PL, Even the swell guy was against illegal immigration.
"Barack Obama said, “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

He gets away with saying we need to control the border but the evil one gets crucified.
Trump is the best asset the democrats have because without him democrats have nothing to offer. He truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

-FJ, you seem to be living in a MAGA-only information jungle, where any truth about what Trump says and does NEVER GET THROUGH to you, the Mother Ship sailors, and people like Lisa.

How in hell could you have missed this absolutist and outrageous promise by Trump? Do you deliberately block your ears when he makes such unAmerican statements?

In October 2023, Trump vowed to expand Muslim ban and bar Gaza refugees if he wins presidency, and in speech in Iowa, said he would immediately begin "ideological screening" for all immigrants.

Trump also stated this about immigrants: "If you don’t like our religion, you are not getting in."

First off, Trump is so ignorant about our Constitution that he doesn't know that THERE IS NO "OUR RELIGION in the United States." He's that stupid!

Also, Trump doesn't know that there is NO religious test for becoming a US citizen, or a politician.

If Trump had his way, Nikki Haley's parents would not have been allowed into the country because they're Sikhs! Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna is a practicing Hindu. Democratics Sen. Mazie Hirono and Rep. Hank Johnson are practicing Buddhists.

Trump has no acquaintance with the Constitution of the United States; and given the opportunity, would become the first American Authoritarian/Dictator.

Trump has also spoken in FAVOUR of legal immigrations sans ILLEGAL immigration system perversions, of the kind favoured by Democrats.

President Trump and his admin had reduced legal immigration by 49%.

That what a sensible person does when ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION more than makes up for the difference.

FROM FORBES, JANUARY 2020: "By next year, Donald Trump will have reduced legal immigration by 49% since becoming president. That will have significant repercussions for the nation’s economic growth, according to a new analysis. The cuts to legal immigration have come in several categories, and it appears the Trump administration is not finished restricting immigration.

Reducing legal immigration most harms refugees, employers and Americans who want to live with their spouses, parents or children, but it also affects the country’s future labor force and economic growth.

“Average annual labor force growth, a key component of the nation’s economic growth, will be approximately 59% lower as a result of the administration’s immigration policies, if the policies continue,” according to an analysis from the National Foundation for American Policy. “Economic growth is crucial to improving the standard of living, which means lower levels of legal immigration carry significant consequences for Americans.”

[SKIP]

Economists Pia Orrenius and Chloe Smith of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas found that without immigration, the U.S. economy would struggle to grow. “Slowing labor force growth is the product of a number of factors – the aging of the U.S. population, retiring baby boomers and declining birth rates,” the economists wrote. “But another element is immigration. Immigrants and their children contributed more than one-half of workforce growth in the past two decades. The economy expands with growth in the labor force and its productivity. Due to the retirement of baby boomers and population aging in general, immigration will play an even larger role in workforce growth going forward than it has in the past. Absent offsetting increases in productivity growth, less immigration will, therefore, translate directly into slower gross domestic product growth.”

Stephen Miller:

“And now we have millions of people coming in from different cultures and different ways of living and different belief systems. They’re going to take those belief systems with them to America,” he continued. “So, a generation from now, I am telling you Jesse, people will not know the country that they are living in. These consequences are permanent. Unless there’s massive large-scale deportations by the millions, it will be irrevocable.”

This has been the strength of America! Those millions of people coming in from different cultures and different ways of living and different belief systems gave us some of our greatest Americans!

Stephen Miller's predecessors were themselves victims of prejudice against different cultural and belief systems by Americans. It is astounding to hear him speak this way about other immigrant communities.

'Despite their early success in the Americas, Jewish people continued to live as outsiders, religiously condemned by Christians, and became the target of racial tropes that persist even today. Their religious practice, unique accents, and surnames led to scapegoating based on age-old stereotypes that found their origins in Europe long ago.

During the Civil War conflict, anti-Jewish intolerance was rampant among the Union and the Confederacy, with accusations that Jewish people were helping the opposing side of the conflict as well as selling military supplies at inflated prices to make a profit."

Shaw Kenawe said...

I forgot to add that Stephen Miller's grandparents were Jewish immigrants whose beliefs and culture were DIFFERENT from the other immigrants living in America!

The GOP had the Executive and Legislative branches of government from January 20, 2017 to December 2018.

Why didn't Trump do something about the immigration laws when he had full control over the House and Senate?

I've seen on the news a couple of times now that immigrants, legal or not, have a lower crime rate than red-blooded Americans.

Les Carpenter said...

They are NOT illegal jc. No more than YOU are.

But, a person, who is legal by their very existence crossed the Mexican USA border illegally as they were undocumented and lacked the right to enter the US in their undocumented state.

skudrunner said...

leslie, The correct definition of illegal is contrary or forbidden by law. Even mumbles referred to them as illegals. Entering the country without permission is an illegal act. By definition that makes them illegals.
Politicians have no incentive to fix immigration. Now it is a political issue and in the years ahead it will become an economic issue. No matter what we call all be assured that our elected elite will only look out for them as we are don't matter.

Les Carpenter said...

I do agree skud that you are right. Neither Trump, or the gop cares one damn bit about the plight of the poor, the huddled masses, or even the legendary middle class that labor unions helped to build. But they will be there for their croniesi and the wealthy corporations as they further restrict choice and individual rights.

Grey One talks sass said...

skud, again and again you reveal your lack of compassion, empathy, or kindness. Mumbles? Really?

Attack President Biden for his policies (which are massively popular) all you wish but you leave his disability alone. This nick name you use for President Biden proves your intellectual failing as you aim for low hanging fruit. And even worse if you didn't come up with it but chose to use it just the same.

But I didn't come here today to chastise skud.

Stephen Miller confuses me. Jewish ancestors and yet he actively promotes the Christian nationalist agenda. I can't tell if he's a true believer and a zealot like most converts or if he is seizing his opportunity for unlimited power.

Why choose? It could be both.

Dave Dubya said...

Skud,
Don't neglect the "Illegal" presidential candidate. His list of felonies far exceeds undocumented immigrants.

Say it. Trump IS AN ILLEGAL.

Then admit this:

Lisa and -FJ/Joe Con support an ILLEGAL for president.

skudrunner said...

Dube, I am not sure what country you are in but in the US an indictment does not equal a conviction. Regarding the illegal part, it is a law to not enter the US without certain documents therefore if people enter the country without documentation you committed an illegal act.

Anonymous said...

Neither Trump or undocumented migrants are illegal. But, both actions of Trump and undocumented migrants are illegal.

Dave Dubya said...

Skud, thanks for the lesson, and for missing my point.

So why do YOU call unconvicted migrants "illegals"?

The point being Trump is ALSO an "illegal" by YOUR standards.

skudrunner said...

Anon has a good point. They are illegally in the country making them illegals. I am unsure what unconvicted migrants means but you will come up with something. The evil one's list of convicted felonies is non existent. Being found guilty of rape is non existent, being a total sleeze ball is provable but that is not a felony he has been convicted of.

Grey, I will agree that many of joey b's policies are popular. Paying for you next door neighbors kids education, gasoline rising over $1.50 a gallon in three years, allowing 2+ million people to cross the border, calling leaders by another name, spending billions on a battery car that few want and can afford. These are all great programs if you are on the receiving side but not so great if you are on the paying side.

We should congratulate our leaders for spending time and money protecting us from those evil TicTck users.
