Back in the day there was a group of old healthcare workers hung around and this was the standing joke - great healthcare in two weeks. And then somewhere in the mess the former guy confessed that healthcare is hard!
We rolled on the floor laughing for weeks on that one. Really? Hard? You don't say!

Trump lied to his cultists about a new and better health care plan but never delivered on his promises, and they still love him for lying to them about one of the most important aspects of their lives.
This is what happens when otherwise sane people buy into a cult leader.
Trump is now promising to end the ACA, and he has nothing planned to replace it, except more lies. But a malignant narcissist doesn't care how his reckless threats would affect people. The only thing a malignant narcissist cares about is himself and how his lies will benefit HIM.
He had his wall funded his first year then reneged on the deal. The guy can't help himself. He's a serial liar and the deluded fools that follow him refuse to admit it.

It's almost as though the new normal is simply to accept whatever BS the former guy and his goosestepping party says and just shrug the shoulders. The believers of his fake greatness will always believe his lies and the serious and wiser amoung us know the future will bring the very strong likelihood of trump cultist violence whether he loses or not.
Trump is pure evil and those who sold their souls to the devil in support of his evil will find out soon enough just how bamboozled they really were and remain.

There's no doubt all but a few of the republicans in Congress accept orange Baby Huey for what he is still sit in stoic silence at the guy who has turned they're party into a personality cult remains a mystery to me. A couple senators voted to impeach him after the capitol riot. If I remember only eight republican Congressmen voted to impeach this clown. A few of them are resigning now but that may have more to do with them fearing losing the next election because of the extreme views on women's rights than refusal to be in the same party as Trump.
Harry Truman is almost universally respected by everyone to this day because he said do what you believe is right and polls and elections be damned. (Not the exact quote but it's the gist of his philosophy.) It took Ronna McDaniel a $300,000 contract from NBC to finally admit Trump lost in 2020. I guess this in character for the republicans as a whole. Withhold the truth until you get a big payday. Maybe they should have snuck 300k per republican in Congress to finally tell the truth.

Turns out, the "family values" Evangelical Christians love him for his infidelities, lying, cheating, and frauding.
Trump is their idea of an honorable man.

I actually find the RCC and Evangelical support for trump perfectly understandable. The very religion of christianity is based on a vengeful god who elevated guilt to the level of a virtue. Thus ensuring the Church's control over society.
While it goes back to i believe 323 CE, when the RCC essentially wrote the modern version of THB, we are observing the ripples of that time in present day America.
Driven by Republicans, Evangelicals, and to a smaller extent the RCC the effort to move to autocratic and authoritarian leadership in America is not surprising.
The Church and Christianity supported Adolph Hitler and Nazi Germany. Is this time round 2?

For example... Donald Trump won the 2020 election. That's an opinion. It's a stupid one, but opinion it is, because it cannot be supported by objective facts.
Joe Biden won the 2020 election and is the legitimate president of the United States. This is not opinion, because it supported by an overwhelming body of objective evidence, testimony, counted ballots, and has been shown to be true in over 60 court cases, and the sworn testimony of every single Sec of State and election supervisor in the nation.
Sadly, you can't see the difference.

She said she's voting for tRUMP because he's a good businessman. And then it was Hunter Biden this, Hunter Biden that. I had to get home and lie down to get my heart rate back down.
Too many times the church supports whomever it sees as the most powerful as to align itself and also be powerful. Or at least safe. I'm with Ben Franklin on this. If a church needs government support it can't be much of a church.

When every mentally healthy human being sees that as an outrageously sick mind slobbering over his daughter's body.
Trump even allowed Howard Stern to call Ivanka "a nice piece of ass," and Trump said it was okay for Stern to say that about Ivanka.
We ALL know what men mean when they call a woman "a nice piece of ass." Trump, being a malignant narcissist, saw this a reflection on him as the producer of such a sexy young woman, and he happily took that egregious remark as a compliment for himself.
