A majority of Americans rejected him. And so do a majority of civilized countries. Protests all over America against this absurd clown.

Too little, too late.

In 2008, polls found 55% of Americans thought that Sarah Palin was unqualified to
step in as president. In 2016, the polls showed that 62% of Americans thought
that Donald Trump was unfit to be president. Since he is, we conclude that being
unfit is the new vote getter. Both parties are grooming chimpanzees.

It is time to stop the childishness. Like it or not Herr Drumpf is the constitutionally elected president elect.

Until such time as a constitutional amendment were to eliminate the EC it is what we have.

We must move on and we should hope the opposition party does not become an obstructionist party like the GOP did.

Hypocrisy does not wear well.

Sorry RN but I'm sick of taking the high road while the Republiscumbags ALWAYS take the low road. I'll give Drumpf the EXACT level of respect that the scumbags on the right gave President Obama - NONE.

RN, The Progressive wing of the Dems (Bernie, Warren, Ellison et al) have already said they are willing to work with Trump on some of his campaign promises. Stopping TPP, infrastructure investment (he proposed spending more than Hillary), curbing corporate power, aiding the inner cities (The Blacks), and taking care of women like no one has ever taken care of women before.

Contrast that with Repubs opposing everything Obama was for, even things Repubs had proposed in the past, in hopes of Obama failing. See Caucus Room conspiracy You can bet it will be Repubs obstructing Trunp's "populist" agenda. I doubt Trump meant any of it but we'll see.

My point, RN, is that there's a big difference between obstructing everything and obstructing what you're truly opposed to and seeking compromise. Actual governing which Repubs don't seem to be interested in. Be careful throwing the hypocrite label around.

For anyone saying "Trump's not my President", RN is right. No amount of protesting is going to change that. Protest his policy, I'm all for protesting. He's president, as disgusting as that is, so what meaningful things are we going to do about it? Organize, write to Congress, they listen if there job is threatened. Internet petitions are worthless, write something in your own words. Congresspeople have websites with comment sections. Talk to Trump voters you know and get them to hold Trump accountable for his populist promises. If they're bigots and xenophobes, call them out, stand up to the bullies. They're going to be mighty disappointed when there's no wall and brown people are still here. There's lots to do. I'm pissed. This ignorant con man in the White House is a stain on the country. I understand the protestors anger and wanting to take it to the streets. When they start blocking freeways, busting stuff up, it's counter productive. It's playing into the hands of those we oppose. What if Hillary had won and the Trumpers hit the streets carrying "she's not my president" signs? I know what I'd think of them.
The EC is an anachronism but it's not the problem. My Minnesota state senate just flipped to R. Dems in this state (Gov. Dayton and a Dem congress) turned deficits into surpluses, unemployment lower than the national average, wages higher, education improved, ranked 4th in best state to do business despite raising taxes on wealthy, 2nd in quality of life. Yet, Dems get voted out. We beat neighbor Wisconsin by any measure and Scott Walker is gov., their congress is R controlled, Russ Feingold lost and the state went to Trump. WTF. The Republican disinformation campaign has worked. Facts no longer matter. The R's aren't imploding, they're winning. Find the rubes around you. Try getting them to pay attention. When things go to shit and they inevitably will, make sure they know it's their fault. It's all Republican now, no excuses.

Anyhoo, end of rant. This sucks.

At least now the republicans have a president who makes Dubya look good.

Okay folks, you take the low road, an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth. See how it works out for ya.

Had the founders had the mindset of modern politicians there would have been no USA.

That's an interesting thought. I wonder what we would get if the Progressives and the Conservatives each wrote a new constitution, and how would the two new constitutions differ from each other.
