The Trump campaign and its right-wing media messengers have devoted the final stretch of the election to insisting they had uncovered proof of deep corruption by the Biden family, along with demands that the mainstream media cover their allegations. (“Cover” means float insinuations of guilt, rather than nailing down the truth of the charges.)
There have been several fishy aspects to the accusations, however. For one, incriminating information supposedly located on a Hunter Biden laptop left in a Delaware computer shop had in fact been circulating in Ukraine well before it was reportedly turned over to Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer. Over the weekend, Time reported that the Hunter Biden emails and photos were being shopped in Kiev last fall by somebody who “wanted to sell it to Republican allies of President Trump.” Several days later, Politico reported the “Hunter Biden laptop” material was being shopped around by a “Ukrainian oligarch looking for help with a potential legal jam” as early as spring of 2019.

After the President boarded Air Force One and departed the state, many of the attendees, some of whom waited more than four hours to listen to him speak, stood in the freezing temperatures on a private road in the middle of the airport.
CNN’s Jeff Zeleny reported “thousands” of people were stuck in the cold more than an hour after Trump took off from the airport.
According to a Twitter account named “Omaha Scanner,” police officers located two groups of elderly Trump supporters shortly after the event ended who were struggling in the cold.
One group was reportedly frozen in the cold and unable to move.
Another complaint included a call for a medic to assist a 68 year-old man who complained of hypothermia and possibly had an altered mental status.
The event itself seemed poorly planned from the beginning.
These people got to see first hand that he doesn't care if they freeze to death. Poorly planned event almost got people killed, they feel no responsibility for the safety and well being of people they brought out into the freezing cold."

It was a stunningly reckless comment from a president whose own F.B.I. this month arrested 14 men who it said had been plotting to kidnap Ms. Whitmer, a Democrat, and were captured on video with an array of weapons allegedly planning the crime.
Mr. Trump has assailed Ms. Whitmer for months, disregarding her solid approval ratings with independent voters and women, two groups he is purportedly trying to court. "
“She was literally just targeted,” Lee Chatfield, the speaker of the Michigan House and a leading state Republican, said of Ms. Whitmer. “Let’s debate differences. Let’s win elections. But not that.”

RICK WILSON: "Americans saw two men last night in the closing days of their respective pursuits of the highest office in the land, and their split-screen town halls clarified and catalyzed an understanding of this race in a way that their one debate so far did not.
It was one more sign of a Trump campaign in total collapse; broke, broken, and unmoored.
As Donald Trump was eviscerated by a smart and determined Savannah Guthrie, who put up with exactly zero bullsh*t from a subject who usually submerges interviewers under a tidal wave of bullshit, while Joe Biden connected with both his audience and interviewer George Stephanopoulos, it became clearer than ever that the choice is between the craziest possible uncle and a steady elder statesman, between a chaos president and a centrist Democrat.
Chicken Donald got what he asked for last night after ducking the presidential debate for what he’d expected to be the more amenable circumstance of a network town hall. And America saw him as he is, as Gurthrie opened up by pressing him on the key elements remaining in his base, white supremacists and QAnon maniacs, and Trump reeked of desperation not to further embarrass himself as he flailed to recapture his old media magic but instead dispelled once and for all the deeply-held belief that he cannot be bested by a reporter.
While Joe Biden looked and sounded compassionate, presidential and completely sane, Trump’s body language made it look like he was about to sprint off the set at any moment. He was wound like a spring. Biden looked ready for a cocktail, loose and happy.
It was one more example of why the Trump campaign’s nine-month effort to portray Joe Biden as senile, weak, and incapable of holding the presidency was such a stupid bet. The Biden on stage tonight was more presidential in 90 minutes than Donald Trump has been in four long years, let alone in his 60 minute flop-sweat bid at counter-programming.
Guthrie’s questions about QAnon clearly set Trump's tiny mental gears grinding. Trump knows his most fervent base voters now include an unhealthy leavening of conspiracy nutcases, and he was in on the scam until tonight. He knew he couldn't denounce them. He couldn't take the easy, sane path with an answer that might have had a chance of winning back a suburban voter or two who isn't Q-centric.
QAnon is an infection in the Republican body politics. The infection became a cancer and the cancer metastasized across the Republican Party.
Of course, Trump did manage to bridge to his favorite imaginary boogeyman;
Antifffffaaaaaa and the “radical left.” Antifa was a minor hit this summer during the post-George Floyd unrest, and exists primarily now as fodder for Trump Twitter and for people waiting for the caravans to announce new tour dates.
Perhaps no one was more deserving of feeling the chill wind of my Everything-Trump-Touches-Dies dictum tonight than Bill Barr. In recent days, Barr has fallen from presidential favor because the vaunted unmasking report long resident in the political spankbank of morons like Devin Nunes, Dan Bongino, and Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist turned out to be a complete bust.
Instead of discovering a vast conspiracy against Trump, the unmasking report ended with a super-sized nothingburger. Trump's allies screeched about it and now poor pitiful Donny is angry that his attorney general didn't make up some crimes for him to bitch about and that his FBI director, Chris Wray, won’t make up a story about widespread voting fraud to explain the historic thumping that’s coming in 18 days.
Trump also confessed to paying only $750 in federal income tax in 2017, and to owing mysterious foreign nationals $400 million. His blurted “It’s not Russher!” seemed a wee bit too defensive and eager.
In a moment of cultural dumbf**kery that says it all, Mercedes Schlapp, long-time Washington conservative doyenne and wife of lobbyist and Trump fave Matt Schlapp, decided the smart course in response to Donald’s dismal disaster was to attack “Mister Rodgers,” though she couldn’t spell his name right. Yes, that Mister Rogers.
The desperation rolled off Trump in fetid waves, reminding voters in this closing stretch that he cannot learn. He cannot change. He cannot take and execute on good advice anything that could potentially help his campaign and his political future. Tonight was another reminder that Donald Trump is always, and only, Donald Trump.

Trump and the DoJ over his nonsensical "OBAMAGATE!" which he tweeted about for weeks, promising arrests and the jailing of President Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary for the "worst political scandal in the history of America!"
Where are those people who were waiting for the report from the DoJ on the "unmasking" scandal that Trump promised?
I'd like to know where they are because I have news for them:

The Justice Department declined to comment to CNN about the report.

Conservative think tank says Biden's proposals will cut taxes for most in 2021
Our frequent conservative visitor, skudrunner, complains everytime he visits this blog that Joe Biden will raise your taxes if you're middle class.
Not true. And even a Conservative think tank disputes skudrunner's talking points.
Skud apparently got his information from a right wing blog or FAUX NOOZ or some far right outlet that doesn't deal in facts or truth.
It's sad, really, that so many Trump supporters deliberately stay ignorant of the facts.
"Overall, Biden’s tax proposals would make the US tax code more progressive," AEI researchers said in their paper.
Biden has offered a number of tax proposals aimed at raising taxes on wealthy individuals and corporations. These include undoing portions of President Trump's 2017 tax-cut law that cut taxes for people making over $400,000, subjecting earnings over $400,000 to Social Security taxes, raising the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent and changing how U.S. companies' foreign profits are taxed.

California Republican Party Admits It Placed Misleading Ballot Boxes Around State
The dark gray metal boxes have been popping up over the past two weeks near churches, gun shops and Republican Party offices, mostly in conservative areas of a deep-blue state, affixed with a white paper label identifying them as either an “Official Ballot Drop off Box” or a “Ballot Drop Box.”
To the average voter, they are virtually indistinguishable from drop-off sites sanctioned by the state, which are governed by strict regulations intended to prevent the partisan manipulation of ballots.
When the leader of the present GOP, Donald J. Trump, is a liar, cheat, and fraud, what can we expect but lying, cheating, and fraud in this election from the party that he leads.
What we didn't expect is how blatant it would be and how dedicated to fraud the present GOP is.

Take heart, friends, but never be complacent...
maybe we can do this and rid ourselves of the worst president and administration in modern American history.
Maybe the cultists who still support this dictator wannabe, super-spreader of Covid-19, and anti-American, corrupt businessman will come to their senses, but that is doubtful.

Joe Biden's polling better than any challenger since 1936
The ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Sunday was the latest poll to indicate Biden's strength. Biden led Trump by a 55% to 43% margin among likely voters. The poll was the third high quality national poll published this week that had Biden up by at least 10 points and above 50%.
The other two being from CNN/SSRS and Fox News.
Indeed, the average of polls has Biden at around 52% or 53% and up by somewhere between 10 and 11 points.
This is an unprecedented position for a challenger with a mere 23 days to go until Election Day.

White Supremacist Terrorists Plotted to Overthrow Michigan's Government...
by kidnapping and possibly killing Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
As of now, I've yet to hear or see anything from Trump or his A.G. on this outrageous attack on American democracy. Instead Trump was rage-tweeting about injuries to his delicate psyche and acting like a maniac.
I've heard nothing from his lap dog Attorney General Barr.

I’m not going to waste my time arguing with the president. But I will always hold him accountable. Because when our leaders speak, their words carry weight.
When our leaders encourage domestic terrorists, they legitimize their actions. When they stoke and contribute to hate speech, they are complicit. And when a sitting president stands on a national stage refusing to condemn white supremacists and hate groups, as President Trump did when he told the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by” during the first presidential debate, he is complicit. Hate groups heard the president’s words not as a rebuke, but as a rallying cry. As a call to action.

Trump is a failed human being and a failed American president, and he does not deserve re-election. Every day proves that. He is incapable of showing any human decency. This is just another example of his dreadful inability to lead.
The worst example is the 210,000 dead Americans on his watch from his incompetent handling of Covid-19 pandemic, of which he himself is infected.
