REMEMBER THIS?

The gutless @GOQ ghouls cheered this.

#RepublicansAreTheProblem #GunReformNow

Texas Republican leaders promised action on gun safety after the El Paso shooting. Instead, they passed permitless carry.

The Texas Legislature passed a bill allowing Texans to carry handguns without a license or training — an expansion of gun rights so divisive Republican leaders in previous years refused to touch it.

Mitt Romney has taken more than $13mil from The NRA, far more than any other Senator. He's right that prayer/condolence are grossly inadequate. But the fact that he won't do more proves his soul is, too. It's not enough to be better than Trump, Mitt.

Joni Ernst has taken:

$3,124,773 from the NRA.

A senseless, horrendous act of evil. My heart is with all those in Texas right now.

26 years ago, a gunman entered Dunblane Primary School in Scotland, killing 16 kids and a teacher. The UK govt responded by enacting tight gun control legislation. In the 9400+ days since, there have been a total of O school shootings in the UK. #Uvalde

Twenty minutes in response to a peaceful protest of less than 100 people. And it will do nothing for those dead kids

Ten days ago it took the Senate about twenty minutes to unanimously pass a bill extending security protection to the family members of Supreme Court justices when it looked like a house might be picketed.

Yet more tragic evidence, after the Buffalo shooting, that the favorite GOP alternative to gun control—“good guys with guns”—doesn’t actually work.

Just wild. Here's part of the account from TX Dept of Pub Safety rep. Shooter crashed his car. There were calls to cops that a guy with a gun had crashed his car. He then tried to storm the school. Cops exchanged gunfire with him. But he was able to fight his way in.

I said it after Sandy Hook and I’ll say it again now: if children being murdered isn’t enough to change people’s opinions, this country is lost forever.

Politicians will do more to “protect” kids from learning an accurate version of US history than they’ll do to protect them from being killed in cold blood.

Our country is painfully, irreparably broken.

This won’t change anything, just as Sandy Hook didn’t. In America, women are less important than babies, and babies are less important than guns, and money is more important than all of it combined.

So the Captain of the Mother Ship finds a way to blame Democrats for the massacre of children in gun crazy Texas. They'll twist themselves into pretzels to find anyway to shift blame from the people who are responsible. Texas allows permitless gun ownership! And no-training ownership of guns! But tell us how it's the Democrats fault? She's a towering idiot!

CAPTAIN OF THE MOTHER SHIP: "HERE is my thinking:

1, Many of the shooter/killers have been red flagged in the past. They’ve had histories of being ‘weird’, of being recluses even in school, some have actually threatened to kill but teachers or shrinks have talked with them and they’ve been deemed ‘just weird’, or they’ve scared their own families but families kept silent.

I believe a lot of that is due to the Left’s fear of EVER actually labeling someone as troubled, a possible killer. God forbid someone is labeled unfairly, or absolutely wrongly identified when they’re really just weird! ……..SO, these people get a pass often to the horrible outcomes we experience so much in America.

2. There have been discussions of armed guards at schools or other large facilities with a lot of people. The Left doesn’t approve of that because people might feel uptight seeing someone with a GUN around them. It might OFFEND SOMEBODY! (we need to start offending again). The gun has been demonized to always mean something bad instead of the fact that the gun can kill a mass murderer and save many lives in the doing.

(This woman obviously didn't read the part of the report on this massacre that stated THERE WERE GUARDS AT THE SCHOOL WHO SHOT AT THE KILLER, but he got past them!)

How do we retrain those silly enough to look at every gun as a weapon for killing innocents (possibly coming from the anti-gun, anti-military thing the Left loves to harangue about)?

HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAN AT LEAST HELP KEEP THESE INCIDENTS DOWN?

OR DO YOU THINK IT’S POSSIBLE AT ALL?

The Captain of the Mother Ship obviously doesn't know what she's talking about, but that doesn't stop her from commenting on the subject.

Geez: "I believe a lot of that is due to the Left’s fear of EVER actually labeling someone as troubled..."

Here's where her ignorance is stunning. Even when a person is labeled as "troubled," as in "mentally unstable," THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BUY A GUN, THANKS TO DONALD TRUMP REVOKING AN OBAMA ERA GUN CHECK FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS ISSUES. Trump's revocation of that gun check allows "troubled" people to own guns -- NOT DEMOCRATS BEING AFRAID OF USING THE TERM "TROUBLED." She's a lazy person who'd rather give her uninformed opinion on these subjects rather than an informed one.

And there's the problem, right there: Willfully ignorant people who rather blame Democrats/liberals than look at where the real blame lies. Texas also allows people to buy guns without obtaining a permit or training. That is insane, in the same way it is insane for mentally unstable people to purchase them.

She's part of this awful problem -- looking to place blame where it doesn't belong.

Everyone in Democratic Party leadership thinks there is a breaking point where the mass shooting body count gets so high that the GOP eventually concedes ground on gun control.

I need to remind you that there is absolutely no limit on what they will tolerate.

They love that NRA money that keeps them in office no matter how often it's dipped in school childrens blood!

Until this nation rids ourselves of the criminal NRA and the antiquated 2'nd amendment not a damn thing will change. But rest assured, the carnage WILL continue. It will get worse.

And the cons and repubs will say their prays, go to church, commemorate the lives of those lost, and then go out and purchase more weapons and ammo. Ad infinitum.

And more will die.

Repeat, Rinse, Repeat. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, .........................

Conservative: "This is not a call to ban social media, but the evidence is clear it is definitely making us sicker and sicker."

Social media is present throughout most of the civilized world that is connected to the internet.

THESE TYPES OF MASSACRES DON'T HAPPEN IN THOSE OTHER COUNTRIES. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS UNIQUE IN ITS TOLERANCE OF MASSACRES OF ITS OWN PEOPLE, AND ESPECIALLY ITS OWN CHILDREN.

I wrote the above in all caps because people like the Conservative who wrote the above statement in quotes refuse to see what is in front of their noses.

This does NOT happen in other countries that have mental illness in their populations; that have access to Social Media by their populations; or with every other human frailty we share as fellow human beings on this planet.

These massacres happen here with regularity because we are saturated with guns and because ANYONE can get his/her hands on one. We are a violent culture that worships firearms.

Look at the photos of Republican politicians who proudly pose with their families holding AR-15s. What the hell is that about? I've never, never, never seen a photo of any politician from any other country do that. It's insane and very, very American.

Social media is not the problem. Our lax gun laws and our horrendous gun culture is.

America loves echo chambers. One need only visit the internet and watch conservative AND liberal news to know what is true about that statement. Everybody is talking but NOBODY is listening to anything but what their preferred chamber is gassing about at any given time.

America is indeed exceptional! Exceptionally foolish and blind.

BTW: Texas:

Uvalde: 21,

El Paso: 23

Sutherland Springs 27

Sante Fe: 10

Midland/Odessa: 7

more mass shootings per capita than any other state.

The New York Times

Parents waiting in agony for news about their children were asked by authorities to provide DNA samples, suggesting that some of the 19 children who were killed in the Uvalde shooting may have been so severely wounded that they were difficult to identify.

I don't think the Founding Fathers had this in mind when they made the 2nd Amendment about a "well regulated militia."

Life and the population was MUCH different in 1776 and 1787. It is simply time to move into the 21st century and either scrap the 2'nd altogether or better yet give it clarity and revamp it for today's realities. But we know the criminal NRA and their political lackeys will never back off of their immoral fixation on guns and culture of death.
