Dr. Carson Exposes Himself, Again

Dr. Carson as one of the Seven Dwarfs, Sleepy

Ben Carson:   "I never saw a body with bullet holes that was more devastating than taking the right to arm ourselves away."

(First of all, the above sentence is unintelligible, but the confused doctor seems to be saying that the loss of gun rights is a more devastating sight to behold than a 6-year old's bloody, bullet-ridden body.  And how does one "see" a loss of gun rights? He's proving every day that a brain surgeon isn't necessarily a brilliant polemicist, and can even be a ninnyhammer.)

I'd like him to tell that to all the parents who lost their babies in the Newtowne massacre, (He wouldn't have the cajones to do that, believe me.) Then repeat it to the parents of all the college students and high schoolers who've been massacred, and to the loved ones who lost mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandchildren, grandparents, aunts, uncles in all the 297 (so far) mass shootings this year.

Dr. Carson continued:

"The Left would prefer to use these tragedies to advance a political agenda. To me, that is also devastatingly sad..."

Said the guy who used the tragedy in Roseberg to further the "No gun controls whatsoever, EVER!" political agenda.

When asked if he were president would he go to Roseberg to speak in the aftermath of the massacre, Dr. Carson made this incredibly stupid remark:

“But, Dr. Carson, would you go?” host Brian Kilmeade [FAUX NOOZ] wondered. “If the people of the community say don’t go, would you still go if you were president on Friday?”

“Probably not,” Carson replied. “I mean, I would probably have so many things on my agenda that I would go to the next one.”

The next one. Dr. Carson, if he were preznit, would find the time to go to the next shooting massacre. See, Carson has accepted massacres as an American Way of Life. Can you believe this noodle brain? Can you imagine a POTUS saying this to the American people?:

"My fellow Americans, I've got too much on my agenda to go and comfort the families of the slaughtered from our most recent gun-massacre.  But I sure will make room in my schedule to show up at our next shooting massacre. Count on it.  Good night, and God Bless America!"

Keep talking out of your backend, Dr. Carson. The more you do so the less chance you'll have of ever being president.

Is Ben Carson a real person or a member of the undead who'll eat your brains during the Zombie Apocalypse?

Jerry Critter said...

Would he say that if it was his child or wife that was killed? "Sorry, Honey. You had to be sacrificed, so I could have my gun!"

Shaw Kenawe said...

Jerry, Carson would have to say that, since he essentially said losing one's 2nd Amendment rights is worse than having someone you love shot dead.

The Question Man, he certainly has been giving zombie-like answers to questions.

He is who he is. He is using rhetoric to play to his base. Carson is learning, how to be a pandering politician.

His rhetoric, while thoughtless and ill advised, was meant figuratively and not literally. It is highly doubtful he would sacrifice his loved ones in perseverance of the second. But, you never know. As "they" say, anything is possible given certain circumstances.

Why do the Tea Party nuts support this guy? We don't need a brain surgeon for president, we need someone with a brain.

Carson did wonderful things with his hands when he was a surgeon, but he seems to have lost the ability to do wonderful things with his mouth since he retired. He's a continuing embarrassment to all brain surgeons, and living proof that the Tea Party will support any African American (there are so few of them in their party) so long as he or she repeats their numbskull talking points.

You can't make this stuff up as long as you have a goofy guy like Carson running for president. He actually said this:

The GOP presidential hopeful said he would not visit shooting victims if it would "open a lot of wounds."

But, but, but... they are working on increasing the size of their pup tent and offering opportunity! Don't you know?

One can have policy differences with people like Jon Huntsmen, Gary Johnson, John Kasich, because they're not crazy. But how can a rational person hope to have a conversation with someone like Trump? Carson? Huckabee? Cruz? Trump is a bloviating bag of fetid fumes; Carson is a walking, talking dispenser of illiterate non-sequiturs that seem to have been written by the regular denizens of the Smut Hut; Huckabee is an Elmer Gantry without the charm; and Cruz is the reincarnation of Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy who wants to be anointed as the Divine Religious Ruler of the U.S.of A.

"In 2012, the Republican pollster Frank Luntz found that 87 percent of gun owners supported criminal background or “Brady” checks for all gun purchases. Following the December 2012 massacre of 20 children in Newtown, Conn., another poll showed that 92 percent of Americans supported background checks for all buyers, including those buying on the Internet and at gun shows."

Here's the mentality of your far right extremist Tea Party nuts:

"Guns. More guns. In the hands of decent, God fearing Americans. Guns in the hands of school guards. Guns in the hands of theater guards. Guns in the hands of mall cops like Paul Blart. When a coward wants to pick a venue that won't shoot back at him for his planned mayhem, he will come up empty. Wayne LaPierre is spot on correct: the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. No truer words were ever spoken."

The poster in Shaw's banner showing all the good guys with guns is testament that the nutjob who wrote the above is clearly out of his mind. All those good guys with guns DID NOT STOP the one bad guy with a gun from shooting the POTUS! But don't confuse the nutjobs with facts, they don't believe in them.

One person in the recent Oregon shooting had a gun on him but did not want to shoot becasuse , as he said, how the hell would the cops coming into the mayhem know which shooter was the good guy and which was the bad. This sort of logical thinking escapes the far right nutjobs, all they know is GUNS! MORE GUNS! MORE GUNS! Simple solutions flrom simple minds.

Found what you commented on:

"Military veteran John Parker Jr. was among the students on campus during the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, on Thursday, during which Chris Harper Mercer killed 10 people and injured seven. Parker was legally carrying a concealed weapon but chose not to intervene for fear of being mistaken for the gunman, he told MSNBC on Thursday night.

Parker and his fellow students sought refuge in a classroom, where they waited for two hours. Had the gunman come near them, Parker said, he would have defended the group.

"I do happen to conceal carry, myself — for defense of myself and others — just in case a tragedy like this happens and I have to be in close proximity to where I can be involved to try to help save some lives," Parker said during the interview. "When we found out there was an active shooter on campus, we were going to go and see if we could intervene. ... If there was something we could do, we were going to do it.

Luckily, we made the choice not to get involved," he told MSNBC. "We were quite a distance away from the actual building where it was happening, which could have opened us up to being potential targets ourselves. And, you know, not knowing where SWAT was on their response time, they wouldn't know who we were, and if we had our guns ready to shoot, they'd think we were the bad guys."

Shaw Kenawe said...

(cont.)

"Parker's story contradicts the common line of argument among pro-gun advocates, who attribute shootings to the presence of "gun-free zones." Such advocates believe that if citizens had the right to carry weapons, they would be able to defend themselves.

"The gun-free zones are the areas that tell licensed gun owners that you are not allowed to carry your weapon in this facility," Lt. Col. Rick Francona, CNN's military analyst, said a few hours after the shooting. "So, they do serve a purpose to let everyone know that this is a 'gun-free zone.' If you're going to perpetrate some act, you know that most people are not going to be armed [there]."

Retired Navy SEAL Jonathan Gilliam shared a similar sentiment on the CNN segment, offering that Francona's assessment was right and such tragedies would be averted in the absence of "gun-free zones."

"This shows you how quickly these things can go bad, and these 'gun-free zones' just like happened in Tennessee that this shooter that went onto a military installation, which was a gun-free zone," Gilliam said on CNN. "We see that the only thing that's going to stop a gun is another gun."

Despite the protestations of gun rights advocates, Umpqua Community College is not actually a "gun-free zone." In 2012, the Oregon State Board of Higher Education unanimously voted to ban guns inside university buildings, but not on campus grounds overall. While UCC is not dictated by the SBHE, its policy on weapons is reportedly comparable.

But even when ordinary citizens are allowed weapons in these situations, usurping the role of law enforcement can actually harm the situation rather than improve it, according to Parker. It can endanger ordinary citizens even more."

Don't confuse the nutjobs with facts, it makes them go all funny in the head.

Is the progressive movement attacking Ben Carson because he is black. Are you Racist because that is the only reason you would be against him. Shame on you!!

No Rand, you're not going to be president, ever but thanks for reminding us that you're insane.

Ben Carson has been all over this issue.
He also explained that he would have tackled the shooter.

Look for this to be a featured topic during the next debate.
Don't expect any sanity.

skudrunner: "Is the progressive movement attacking Ben Carson because he is black. Are you Racist because that is the only reason you would be against him. Shame on you!!"

skud, you must think you're visiting the Stench Trench where Lisa's boyfriends never miss a chance to call First Lady, Michelle Obama, some sort of ape who walks on her hind legs and should pick fleas out of her tail, and where they call President Obama "Obongo and have used the "N" word." That place, where you choose to hang out. That says a volumes about YOUR values and racism.

Let me point this out, because obviously you haven't the ability to figure it out yourself: Nowhere on this blog do I say ANYTHING about Dr. Carson's RACE. It is YOU, an admirer of Lisa's slimeballs, who brought race into this discussion.

This post is about the inane STATEMENTS Dr. Carson made -- Get it? INANE, just like the comment you made.

I've never seen you write anything about Lisa's slimeball boyfriends making racist remarks about the Obamas. NEVER. Your silence means you agree with them.

If anyone ever used that sort of gutter language here as a description of Dr. Carson they would be deleted. But here's some news for you: Not one of my Liberal commenters have EVER, EVER denigrated Dr. Carson because of his race. NOT ONE. That sort of sewerage comes from the right: The racists.

We disagree with his STATEMENTS and policies. Not the color of his skin. We here at P.E. and other Liberal blogs do not tolerate scum who call African Americans apes and animals.

And if you think that's because we think we better and above that sort of scurrilous behavior, you are correct. We ARE.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Ducky, Rand Paul and a lot of 2nd Amendment cowboys believe that if we arm every American, we'd be safe. The koo-koos on the right don't see the utter foolishness of this.

Les Carpenter said...

No skudrunner that is not the reason. Dr. Carson is simply wrong in the eyes of many rational thinking people. That you fail to understand why has nothing to do with his race. 41 dead in Chicago last month from guns....that city needs to have stricter gun laws....oh wait, they already do....never mind

Shaw Kenawe said...

Anonymous@12:20,

Are you dense or a troll? Chicago has strict gun laws, but other cities and states do not. Anyone wanting to get a gun can easily do so if he or she knows all they have to do is leave the city. That's not to say there isn't a crime problem in Chicago. There is. But to understand the causes of that issue would take time and research, in which you apparently have no interest, choosing instead to make a cheap political point.

Here's an idea, why don't you look at the history of red lining, specifically in Chicago.

Here's more on the insulting and ignorant reactions by some of the people who hope to be the next POTUS:

From the WaPo:

"Candidate Ben Carson identified a different problem: the insufficient gumption of the students and faculty of Umpqua Community College. “Of course, you know, if everybody attacks that gunman, he’s not going to be able to kill everybody,” Mr. Carson told Fox News. “But if you sit there and let him shoot you one by one, you’re all going to be dead.” He made this argument without even realizing — here is where the ignorance comes in — that Army veteran Chris Mintz had tried to stop the shooter and been shot seven times in the process. He also said that kindergarten teachers should be armed; but, he later clarified, maybe not all kindergarten teachers; and they shouldn’t leave the guns lying around but should lock them; but as a result they would have to be “trained in diversionary tactics and whatever needs to be done in order to get there and” — well, you get the idea. It’s a mishmash of absurdity untroubled by contemplation."

"...a mishmash of absurdity untroubled by contemplation." Sounds like a lot of what gets posted on TeaPublican blogs.

On average in 2012, 92 people were killed on the roadways of the U.S. each day

Cars kill more people than guns. The only solution is to ban them.

Where's the liberal outrage?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Sorry, Anon@7:46:

"Guns kill a lot of young people in the United States. Not just in school shootings or horrific “accidents” between toddlers that tend to garner the most media attention, but in every day shootings in communities around the country that result in the deaths of thousands of children and teenagers.

In 2010, 6,201 young people between the ages of 15 and 24 died by gunfire. Guns were a close second to the leading cause of death among this age group, car accidents, which took the lives of 7,024 young people that year. But, while car accident deaths among young people have been steadily declining over the past decade, gun deaths have remained relatively unchanged. And, as described in a new Center for American Progress report released [recently], if current trends continue, gun deaths will surpass car accident deaths among young people sometime in 2015"

Cars, btw, are registered, licensed, and fitted with all sorts of safety devices, accounting for the gradual drop in motor vehicle deaths. Meanwhile, the criminal organization and gun maniacs have fought every safety measure proposed; have fought background checks, have fought allowing research into the causes of firearm violence, and have fought allowing pediatricians to ask parents if their deadly guns are secured and safely stored away from their children.

Your nonsensical suggestion that cars be banned is nothing more than a childish talking point that the criminal leadership of the NRA has planted in the feckless minds of their defenders.

Your argument is invalid.

"Carson repeated his claims, saying an unarmed charge toward a gunman could work because “he can only shoot one of us at a time” — which the retired brain surgeon punctuated with a giggle."

Giggle? Every time this guy opens his mouth he proves he's not ready for prime time. He'll never be president, but he'll continue to be seen as a confused and misguided guy whose ideas on Muslims, massacres, Evolution, Hitler and Obama, are so whacko only the fringe RWNJs applaud them.

Dr. Carson should stick to what he knows, brain surgery, and leave politics, what he doesn't know, alone. Brain surgery has nothing to do with running the most powerful country on the planet, and Carson proves this every day.

Debacle is too nice a word for what they've created.

Shaw,

Kevin McCarthy made a true statement but chose the wrong words and the MSM was all over twisting it. He should not be the speaker but H should pull out of the campaign and make way for Joe. She has learned a lot from Lurch in the I was for it before I was against it.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud: "Carson kinda reminds us of visiting all 56 states by another black candidate and those who thought he was not qualified were racist."

The difference between the misstatement of visiting 57 states by Mr. Obama:

Factcheck.org:

Claim: If any other of our presidents had stated that there were 57 states in the United States, wouldn't you have had second thoughts about his capabilities?

Obama made the mistake of saying that he had visited 57 U.S. states during a presidential campaign appearance in Oregon in 2008. He clearly meant to say 47, but slipped up.

According to a Los Angeles Times blog item that highlighted the future president's error, he said: "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

That doesn't even closely compare with the dozens of nonsensical statements Dr. Carson has made. Dr. Carson has compared the Obama administration to Nazi Germany, he's stated that the ACA is worse than slavery, he's said Evolution is the work of the Devil, he's said that going to prison makes men gay, he's said that the recent victims of the Oregon massacre should have done more -- like running at the killer -- to save their lives, and the absolute nuttiest: Taking away the second amendment would be worse than seeing the bullet-ridden, bloody bodies of babies. Okay? Those statements are magnitudes crazier and dumber than a one-time gaffe about 57 states. You've used that gaffe for the last 7 years. Explain to us how that stacks up against the absolute nutty claims Dr. Carson makes.

skud: "Kevin McCarthy made a true statement..."

Yes, we know. The true statement was that the BENGHAZI! hearings were about smearing Hillary Clinton, not getting answers. In any event, the Republican's own investigating committee found no wrong doing, no cover-up, no order to stand down. No scandal. So why are they having another investigation? McCarthy spoke the truth: To get Hillary, not the truth.

"...but chose the wrong words and the MSM was all over twisting it."

Not the wrong words, the truth about what the BENGHAZI! hearings were really about.

McCarthy said "Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee, [and] what are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she's untranslatable."
He didn't say they put together a committee to make her look bad it is that the committee and it's finding exposed the truth.
