FAUX NOOZ HEADLINES FOR THE OPENING OF THE JANUARY 6 COMMITTEE HEARINGS:

“There’s a Hunter Biden caravan at the southern border chanting ‘Gay, gay, gay,’ and it’s coming for your guns!”

The fact that FAUX NOOZ isn't covering a major news story proves beyond a doubt that it is NOT a "cable news" program.

FAUX NOOZ is the official propaganda arm of the Trumpublican Party.

Chuck Schumer Says Fox News Isn’t Real News On The Senate Floor

Of course Faux Nooz is not real news!

All media are covering the January 6 Committee, except FAUX! And that must be because Faux doesn't want their viewers to know the truth.

Senator Schumer:

"In one of the most cowardly journalistic decisions in modern memory, Fox News—one of the main amplifiers of the Big Lie about January 6th and about the election—has stated they will not broadcast Thursday’s hearing. After giving the likes of Tucker Carlson a blank check to spread conspiracy theories and white supremacist views night after night, it is beyond repugnant that Fox News refuses to cover an investigation into the deadliest attack on our democracy in modern history.

It is a disgusting and treacherous decision, one that will gravely harm our democracy, one that will deliberately conceal the truth from a large portion of the viewing public."

"Fox News has exposed itself as not being real news. The decision not to carry the hearings live, but instead banish the coverage to Fox Business has done more to blow up the news facade at Fox than any external investigation possibly could have."

It is wrong to refer to Fox as "Fox News," since it is no longer a cable news entity.

I've always referred to it as FAUX NOOZ, now I'll just call it FAUX, since it's all fake all the time.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) believes everyone should hear what the J6 Committee has to say:

Ted Cruz called the events of January 6th a “violent terrorist attack,” then immediately walked it back when he was challenged by Fox propagandist, Tucker Carlson.

Elise Stefanik says the hearing tonight should be about gas prices instead of J6. So much for her previous b.s. about punishing those who perpetrated the insurrection.

Never believe anything these hypocritical Trumpublicans say.

McConnell states J6 was a "violent insurrection for the purpose to prevent the peaceful transition of power from one administration to the next."

The propaganda arm of the Trumpublican Party, FAUX, will not televise this once-in-a-lifetime home-grown assault on our democracy because FAUX doesn't want its easily duped viewers to see the truth of what happened that day.

Shaw... if you read deep in the comments from people like those on the HMS Mothership, you'll see that many feel betrayed and are dismayed by FOX News.

They feel folks like former anchor Chris Wallace, current anchor Bret Baier and others on the "hard news" side have strayed from the "truth." So they've moved on for news from such reputable sources like OAN and Newsmax. Even though the latter, much to the chagrin to some, has been banished from At&T cable systems over their inaccurate reporting.

But of course, they stick with Hannity, Carlson and rest of the opinion side because there, they will never hear any discouraging words.

Oh to be home on the range.

Thankfully this group held no sway with the GOP when Nixon and his crew were running rough shed over the Constitution.

tRumpublicans, FAUX, OAN, and Newsmax are the best thing ever to give Nihilism a boost.

Living in a society with the degree of dishonesty and total disregard for truth that is on display in the tRumpublican party it's hard not to become a nihilist.

There is a trial going on and many of the insurgents are being charged. Where is the outrage over protesters harassing SCOTUS's at their homes which is illegal. Seems to be one sided when a justice is threatened at his home for a decision that has not been made.

skud: "Where is the outrage over protesters harassing SCOTUS's at their homes which is illegal."

I'm sorry the family of Justice Kavanaugh is experiencing this harassment. But I guess it's just the price they have to bear for living in a free country.

(Similar statements were made by various Trumpublican politicians when asked, after the Uvalde massacre, why they wouldn't support even the most modest gun laws.)

There are lots of illegal things perpetrated in this country that people get away with. Especially people in high political office. All you need is a corrupt POTUS who pardons them, and POOF! their illegalities are gone! Think Bannon, Stone, Manafort, Tom Barrack, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn. And most of those felons were pardoned. So, I'm not moved by hearing about illegalities when the former Crime-Boss-in-Chief flouted the law on an almost daily basis.

Think insurrection and attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Jimmy Kimmel had Biden on his show last night. But his opening bit was about the faux noos reaction to the visit. First, he showed all the complaining from faux about the powder puff questions he would probably ask. Then he showed several minutes of faux fawning all over tRUMP.

Maybe that is one of the biggest problems we have. People committing crimes are just let go and now we have a trial because someone who half the country hates didn't rush forward to stop a riot it is OK. For the majority leader to threaten a SCOTUS with he will pay the price, that's OK even when a crazy shows up at his door. All this judgement about a decision that has not been made. I hope they leave RvW alone but I also hope we work to secure our border and punish criminals. Doesn't look like that will happen.

I watched FOX news air the hearing. If we are going to criticize a network for only airing stories friendly to t6heir ideology, then MSNBC is just as guilty.

Supreme Court justices already get 24/7 security. I would not support more security for them until the Congress pays for more security for school children.

Liz Cheney:
"On the morning of January 6, President Donald Trump's intention was to remain president of the United States, despite the lawful outcome of the 2020 election and in violation of his Constitutional obligation to relinquish power. President Trump summoned the mob, assembled the mob and lit the flame of this attack."

“To my Republican colleagues I say there will come a day when Donald Trump is gone but your dishonor will remain.” (I actually applauded Liz Cheney!)

"President Trump oversaw a sophisticated seven-part plan to overturn the 2020 election and prevent the transition of presidential power.”

1. President Trump engaged in a massive effort to spread false and fraudulent information to the American public claiming the 2020 election was stolen from him.

2. President Trump corruptly planned to replace the Acting Attorney General, so that the Department of Justice would support his fake election claims.

3. President Trump corruptly pressured Vice President Pence to refuse to count certified electoral votes in violation of the US Constitution and the law.

4. President Trump corruptly pressured state election officials, and state legislators, to change election results.

5. President Trump's legal team and other Trump associates instructed Republicans in multiple states to create false electoral slates and transmit those slates to Congress and the National Archives.

6. President Trump summoned and assembled a violent mob in Washington and directed them to march on the US Capitol.

7. As the violence was underway, President Trump ignored multiple pleas for assistance and failed to take immediate action to stop the violence and instruct his supporters to leave the Capitol.

If you actually believe that's why there's a J6 COMMITTEE HEARING (it's NOT a trial!) you are poorly informed and being willfully obtuse.

According the the evidence presented last night, Donald Trump instigated a coup against the United States government and even suggested his own vice president deserved to be hanged.

Defend that if you can.

There's something sickeningly wrong with the people who refuse to see what Trump did to this country.

Ah, who else but skud can look at a picture of potatoes and tins of peaches and think they are the same?

skud said "People committing crimes are just let go and now we have a trial because someone who half the country hates didn't rush forward to stop a riot it is OK."

I'm going to read between the lines here skud and apply your known racist bias, so which Black person are you thinking 'got away' with something? Were you going to cite your ever ready Chicago excuse?

What trial are you talking about? The Jan6 Committee hearings? There is no trial they are simply showing the United States public what their investigation found, and oh my, there is a lot to discover. I keep informed as to the investigations into the insurrection and there were facts presented even I didn't know revealed in last nights session. Imagine what else we will learn as each chapter is revealed.

And for the record, I don't hate Trump because hate takes too much energy and soul from the hater. What I am is furious that a con man was able to trick so many Americans into believing his big lie to the point when confronted with facts (not truth for that is subjective) they blather what-aboutisms and distractions as if we are all dogs who can't keep focused around a squirrel.

Fact - Trump called his followers to DC that day.
Fact - Trump and his cronies ensured the DC cops and Capitol police were set up to fail when confronted by a whipped up hostile crowd
Fact - Trump had no incentive to halt the riot he caused as cruelty is the point with him and those of his ilk.
Fact - the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers were doing reconnaissance hours before the former defeated twice impeached guy started to speak.
Fact - as supported by evidence collected from Eastman there was a well orchestrated plan to overturn a lawfully conducted election.
Fact - skud, you were conned and are still being conned.

Care about you dude, an honored combatant if you will. But this Trump stuff and your continued defending of the indefensible needs to stop, for your sake. Trump lied, people died and are still dying because of his lies.

My last question and I'll stop: skud, would you feel comfortable lying knowing one of the Big 10 items of your holy book is not telling falsehoods? Would you have accepted the same level of lies from your children? I think not so why are you so willing to accept the proven lies told by Trump?

BluebullAmerica said...

No Skid, it's not that Trump didn't stop the riot, it's that he actively created the riot. If you'd watched the hearing you'd know that. Not afraid of hearing the truth, are you?
I've yet to see ANYONE here justify the actions of the crazy man who wanted Kavanagh dead. Not one single person and no one pathetically deflected or tried to make it a 'both sides' cop out. No, he should face whatever punishment the courts dish out. Period. Too bad your side doesn't have the same integrity and instead looks for any and every chance to divert attention from your bad players. Now, run along baby duck....

skudrunner said...

I do not and never have defended trump. I wish he would go away because he is responsible for the horrible condition the US in in. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have biden. I do believe we need to go after all the rioters both at the capital, in the cities where there were peaceful protests resulting in businesses burned and and the protesters outside Kavanaugh's. Not sure they would be allowed to behave that way if it were sotomayor.

Les Carpenter said...

skud must be the poster boy for obtuseness.

skudrunner said...

Grey, You do not disappoint by calling anyone who disagrees with the leftist opinion a racist. It would quiet people during the obama years but somehow has lost it's effectiveness.
I'm going to read between the lines here grey and say how can anyone be a racist when half the rioters were white.

The democrats have one sure item to campaign on and that is trump is a criminal and they will play it to the hilt. Their choice for president, joe with a plan, has turned out to be a total disaster so what can they campaign on, Jan 6th 2021. I don't support trump but you know that so go with the racist theme.

skud: "I do believe we need to go after all the rioters both at the capital, in the cities where there were peaceful protests resulting in businesses burned"

This is how wrong information continues to travel around the internet. And skud (surprise! surprise!) is part of the problem:

Thousands of protesters arrested in 2020

Contrary to the claim in the post, many Black Lives Matter protesters did face consequences. Estimates vary, but news outlets reported thousands of protesters were arrested in the months following Floyd’s death in May 2020.

A June 22, 2020, article from The Washington Post tallied over 14,000 arrests made since May 27. The Hill reported over 17,000 arrests had been made in the first two weeks of protests.

Despite the large number of arrests, The Hill reported most of those protesters were booked not for violent crimes, but for low-level offenses such as violating curfews. Obstructing roadways and carrying open containers were other reasons for the arrests, as well as “failure to disperse.”

skud: "...and and the protesters outside Kavanaugh's." Those protesters were peaceful -- loud, but peaceful. The man who threatened Kavanaugh's life turned himself in. He faces 20 years in prison. The right wingers were very upset over this, more so, IMO, than having 19 children slaughtered in their classroom, to the point that some were not able to be identified by their parents without DNA tests. Kavanaugh and his family did not deserved to be threatened. The Trumpublicans in Congress acted IMMEDIATELY to protect him. The 19 children in Uvalde didn't deserve to be horribly slaughtered by an 18-year old kid who was able to purchase a weapon of war. The Trumpublicans in Congress did NOTHING about it.

skud: "Not sure they would be allowed to behave that way if it were sotomayor."

You actually think that no peaceful protesters would be allowed to march near Justice Sotomayor's home? Where do you get that information? Or are you making it up, just like your implication that the 2020 rioters did not face any arrests or consequences?

Please stop spreading disinformation.

skud, like so very many folks, simply believe, and then pass on, the stories they tell themselves (or hear from like minded folks) and WANT to believe because the stories support their most cherished beliefs. Even when all ccredible data points to a different reality.

Unfortunately we all share this human tendency. The difference between skud and others like him and folks like Shaw is that Shaw recognizes this and is therefore able to guard against it.

Thank you for what you do Shaw. The USA can use a lot more like you.

skudrunner said...

Burn a building and get charged with curfew violation. Sounds fair to me. Out of thousands of arrests 300 have been convicted of serious crimes (AP) Most of those defendants received deferred resolution agreements, under which prosecutors promise to drop charges after a certain amount of time if the defendant stays out of trouble.

Fact-check: Is it legal to protest outside justices' homes?https://www.statesman.com › news › politifact › 2022/05/23
May 23, 2022 — Legal experts generally agree that targeted, stationary protests outside of a justice's home are prohibited under federal law

Shaw Kenawe said...

Yeah. Terrible for the Justice to be harassed.

More terrible is for children to be slaughtered beyond recognition in their schools.

I have no sympathy for Justices that have allowed. through their rulings to continue to allow this.

Justice Kavanaugh and his cohorts will NEVER suffer what the parents in Uvalde suffered.

My sympathy lies with the parents of the children who were murdered by guns the American justice system refuses to outlaw.

I don't give a flying donut about Kavanaugh or anyone else who refuses to protect children and keeps giving the gun industry passes.

RN

RN what you've come to understand is far more commendable than anything I've done. As a lifelong conservative/libertarian, you had the integrity and courage to see with clear eyes what Donald Trump and the Trumpublicans are -- they are NOT Conservatives -- they are a cult that deliberately refuses to see the destruction Trump has caused this country.

What you did, is far more courageous. You and Congressfolks like Liz Cheney show us all what it is like putting country above party, and for that we all salute you.

I hope I have the courage to do the same should a Dem or any other pol I've supported in the past shows his or her true anti-American colors.

"Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) bragged about her efforts to block legislation that would increase security for Supreme Court justices" “Oh, so we can pass protections for us and here easily, right? But we can’t pass protections for everyday people? I think not.”

I can't believe I actually agree with her. They should take away security from all government employees especially those who are part of the elected elite. The only exception should be the president and VP.

Les Carpenter said...

Actually skud, our elected officials who do the bisiness of the country ought to have elevated levels of security. However... those folks in congress who refuse to take actions to increase and insure imporoved safety and security for our children in school do absolutely deserve to lose all security provided by the tax payers.
