Ex-CIA operative: We may need a new vote

Former CIA Operative Robert Baer says if the CIA can prove that Russia interfered with the 2016 election then the US should vote again.

"Breaking news".....Exxon Mobil CEO Tillerson is the top choice nominee for Sec of State - surprise, he has "ties" with Russia.

From theNYTimes article: Mr. Tillerson has worked to strengthen Exxon Mobil’s ties with Russia. The company has various joint ventures with the oil giant Rosneft around Russia, and has contributed to social programs in education and health.

In 2012, the Russian government awarded Mr. Tillerson the country’s Order of Friendship decoration.

That is the HIGHEST decoration that Russia can bestow on a Non-Russian.

Read about the "special" ties with Russia HERE.

From NBC News:

Donald Trump dismisses claims that Russia interfered in 2016 election 3:33
The CIA has concluded that Russia mounted a covert intelligence operation to influence the U.S. election in an effort to help Donald Trump win, a congressional official knowledgeable on the matter told NBC News.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper briefed senators on the latest intelligence in a closed-door meeting last week, and he described the latest findings on the intentions of the Russian government with regard to the hacks and other interference in the U.S. presidential election, according to the official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the intelligence.

A Washington Post report published online Friday night first described how the intelligence community has reached a "consensus" that Russia intervened in the presidential election to help Trump win — not just try to sow chaos and undermine the electoral process. The New York Times confirmed the story, as has NBC News.

The president-elect's transition team responded by impugning the CIA's integrity in a statement Friday, calling the spy agency "the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction."

Trump has repeatedly said he does not accept the findings of the spy agencies he will soon lead. They say Russia was behind hacks of Democratic email accounts and other efforts that appeared to harm Hillary Clinton's candidacy.

In October, the U.S. government said that all 17 intelligence agencies agreed Russia was behind the cyber-attacks just before the November election, and that the goal was "to interfere with the U.S. election process."

Now, the Congressional official told NBC News, new intelligence suggests that Russia's goal was to elect Trump, who broke from Republican orthodoxy during the campaign with several sympathetic statements about a Russian regime that has seized a neighbor's territory and is accused of killing political opponents.

Senators were briefed last week on the secret CIA assessment, the source said, confirming reports in the Post and Times.

I find it much easier these days to think of the Republican Party as a criminal enterprise engaged in a conspiracy to enrich its leaders at the expense of the general public (including its own members) than as a traditional political party. Simplifies analysis.

It seems almost natural that Putin would hack the Democrats. It seems quite unnatural that so many voters don't give a damn.

This will go nowhere. Another dead end endeavor is all it will amount to. Prepare for Trump's Brave New World.

Keeping the craft beer cooler well stocked. It is going to be a very long four years with the possibility of eight.

America has indeed lost her way and it may be irreversible.

My husband and I was talking about Russia involvement in our election. Now if they find our election was actual done by Russia...Does that mean Trump could be impeach before he takes office. Then Pence becomes President...That could be 3 times as scary.

Coffee is on

Nobody ever won a fight by declaring it already lost.

Can these revelations about Russian interference, plus Trump's ridiculous and venal behavior since the election, convince 37 or more Republican Electors that he mustn't become President? What would their beloved Reagan think of his party acquiescing in flagrant meddling in a US election by a foreign fascist regime? (As an aside, maybe now Americans will start to understand how angry Iranians were about the overthrow of Mosaddegh.)

Beyond that, is there any legal basis for Baer's revote proposal?

Rolling back this mess this late in the process would be unprecedented, but everything about this election is unprecedented.

Everything the Tea Party said about Obnama is happening with Trump. The Tea Baggers called Obama the Manchurian candidaate and now we find out that Russia was behind Trump's electoral win (he lost the popular vote BIGLY), and Russia's puppet is set to lead America. The Baggers won't admit to this because they listen to Rush and Alex Jones for information. IMO theyre traitors to America.
