VOTE BLUE!

I've got 4 signs for democrats up in my front yard. Today a guy walked over from the subdivision across the street from me and pulled the signs out of the ground, then ran back across the street. So he didn't take the signs and I got him on video but the street is too far away to get a good picture. They weren't down that long and I've been checking frequently ever since. I'm glad tomorrow is election day.

Great day for everyone because we get a break from political ads, at least until Sunday when they will start for 2024.

Vote early vote often like they do in Chicago but even if you only vote once at least vote.

Yes Skud, you vote early too so you can join the crowds intimidating ppl, trying to discourage Dems from voting. Is your gun loaded?

It's election day, and yet you have to snark. Incorrigible.

Charles Campisi, Twitter:

On the Stephanie Miller radio show today, an audio clip was played of a woman wearing a MAGA hat, waiting to vote, who said to a reporter that Dr. Fauci, the Clintons, Obamas & Hollywood elites were imprisoned in Guantanamo.

This is the MAGA stupidity our votes must counteract.

Yesterday, while stumping for Herschel Walker,
@LindseyGrahamSC
said: “Does anyone really need Puerto Rico or DC to be states?” And the crowd yelled “NO!” “That dilutes our power,” Graham said.

Puerto Rico has 3.3 million people (Higher population than 30 states)
DC has 720,000

Life is exceptionally good today.

I voted by mail 2 weeks ago from the comfort of my kitchen table. No crowd, no hassles, no hecklers or loud trumpublican anti democracy folks bleating away. Ballet sealed in inner envelope that was then sealed in the official mailer and then dropped in the appropriate official box at town hall.

Haven't watched a single moment of the media talking heads and have zero plans to later.

Life is good today and no damn political garbage will be allowed to change that.

Rev, You do need to lighten up and develop a sense of humor because stress is not good for you. That saying about Chicago vote early vote often is a saying that has been around for decades but only people who have a sense of humor will understand it. The thing about dems being intimated voting is all BS and yes my gun is always loaded.

If the dems win we can all starve from inflation and if the repugs win democracy is dead so there is not a good choice is there.

Shaw... Puerto Rico has 3.3 million, not just people, but Americans.

Why do some believe they should not have the right to vote and have representation in Congress?

Same for DC... why do some continue to stand against giving the people of DC a real voice in Congress. At the very least, the area could be ceded back to Maryland so ppl could have real representation.

Now for the folks who choose to take a stab at this, I want to know why "real Americans" would stand against fellow Americans having a vote and real representation.

Okay Red Readers... riddle me this...

Do you support throwing mail in ballots out and not counting them, simply because the voter forgot to put the date on his or her ballot?

Because that is indeed happening right now, in this election. In lawsuits brought by the GOP.

The same GOP that has argued against process crimes, like lying to the FBI and Congress, because those crimes are technicalities.

Shouldn't we be doing all we can to get as many Americans voting, as easily as possible so as to have a great majority of our citizens voting?

Can anyone here give me an example of the GOP working to expand access to the franchise in the last 20 years? What policies or actions have they supported to make it easier for Americans to register and vote?

Les

I've done EXACTLY the same process as you! I voted by mail weeks ago. I will not look at any media this evening.

I'm currently dog and cat sitting for a family member who's on a trip to Italy to celebrate a wedding anniversary. I'm in a country house adjacent to a state forest, so I'm surrounded by nature, and a darling little dog and friendly cat.

Enjoying good food, good wine, nature, with my animal friends and special guy. Life is certainly good.

When the Dems had majority and the White House why did they not make Puerto Rico a State?

Dave Miller said...

Oh Skud, I understood it. But today it is only used as a pejorative to mock the Democratic Party. I'm surprised you were unaware of that.

You might ask yourself Skud why Florida today moved to prohibit non partisan federal poll watchers from overseeing the election there. It's been done before of course, you know, when southern states refused to let legally registered black ppl vote.

Doesn't this fall under the if you're not doing anything bad, you've go no need to worry?

With more democracy comes more freedom.

Michigan women have spoken, and won their right to reproductive freedom. This is why the radical Right HATES democracy. They want to control women and dominate the majority.

"That woman from Michigan" who Trump hates beat his crazed toadie Tudor Dixon. Gretchen Whitmer wins her second term as governor.

Looks like the country will be safe for a couple of years. I hardly slept last night fearing it was the last day of democracy. Actually it was a good night for the democrats because they didn't lose near as bad as with the former democrat president in mid terms. The trump influence seems to be waning which is a good thing and DeSantis won big which is also a good thing.

This election proved three things:
1. The republicans have a horrible candidate selection
2. Fear works to swing votes and the democrats did a great job of instilling it.
3. It is tough to beat free money

Proud of my adopted State of Maryland for voting in its first Black Governor. Also my home state of Minnesota basically had a blue wave, which is very encouraging if I plan to retire back there.

Regarding DC becoming a state, it is very obviously Republicans that hold it up. Neither Maryland nor DC want to have DC absorbed into Maryland. DC has a larger population than the states of Wyoming (584,309) and Vermont (645,570). Bring on DC Statehood!

The Mantra of skud

Lest we forget the great job tRump did of instilling fear and hate or his GREAT PERMENANT tax reduction on corporations. America's corporate and wealthy welfare program.
