WaPo:
The Supreme Court on Tuesday denied former president Donald Trump’s efforts to block the release of his tax records to a congressional committee that has sought the information for years.
The court’s order means that the Treasury Department may quickly hand over six years of tax records from Trump and some of his companies to the House Ways and Means Committee.

So here's my take.
Certainly Trump has something in his taxes that while legal, he does not want the general public seeing. My guess? That, as he bragged in a debate, he has paid little or no taxes relative to his income.
But I believe there's more, as there always is with him...
trump took this fight, over his taxes not just for his own benefit. He undertook this Quixotic mission for all his rich guy buddies. Because they fear a public backlash and questions themselves about whether they too are using laws and accounting methods not available to John Q. Public who lives on Main Street.
And we will probably see that for once, Trump did not lie.
He and by extension, the rest of the super rich of America, game the system in ways us regular folks cannot to avoid paying bazillions in taxes that could be used to better America.
And it's all 100% legal.
Those tax returns are not supposed to be made public. I wonder how long it will take Democrats to leak the information.
