Often he is described in news reports as a vaccine skeptic, when he is far more than that. He is an extreme vaccine opponent. And he has lied about this, saying he has “never been anti-vaxx,” though he recently declared, “There’s no vaccine that is safe and effective.” He still promotes the debunked notion that vaccines cause autism. In May 2021, he petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to stop the use of all Covid vaccines. He proclaimed it “the deadliest vaccine ever made”—though these vaccines were estimated to have saved 20 million lives globally in the first year of their use. His anti-vaccine advocacy also played a role in a deadly measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019 that killed scores of children, and this, too, he has lied about.
But Kennedy’s false claims about vaccines and his own stance on the issue are merely just one slice of his craziness that has not been fully conveyed to the public. For years, he has pushed a host of conspiracy theories and false propositions in such an aggressive and unhinged manner as to raise profound questions about his judgment and analytical abilities. Placing a fellow this cracked, disingenuous, and paranoid in charge of the American public health system—which Donald Trump has proposed to do by nominating him to be secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services—threatens national and global security. This could be the most dangerous act of Trump’s presidency. Yet Republican senators and much of the public are ho-humming this perilous appointment."

Senator Bennet might have just ended RFK Jr.'s chances of being nominated as HHS Secretary. Watch how he cuts through the BS and asks the tough questions.
THIS is how you do it. pic.twitter.com/OOZqYpyPEx

Ignorance of facts, wilfull avoidance of truth, eager acceptance of propaganda can carry with it the death wish.
Is this where America really wants be on this?
Trump, and MAGA cultists do.
"Stonekettle @stonekettle.bsky.social
When I was growing up, there were ashtrays everywhere. Every house, every business, the doctor's office, not outside, inside on every table. A battered metal bowl, coated in toxic resin, overflowing with spit stained damp butts and foul ash, stinking of cancer.
That's what RFK Jr reminds me of."
The RFK nomination to head up HHS should end because of his statements on the Lex Fridman podcast in 2023 that “there’s no vaccine that is safe and effective.”
Not there are some vaccines that are not safe, not there are a few that maybe unsafe, but rather "there's no vaccine that is safe and effective."
Not. A. One.
If RFK was to repudiate his own statement, rather than lie as he has done and try to claim he never said it, then the wrath of Trump would come down on him.
He's unqualified and should be rejected.
Full Stop.
Just ask Mitch "Polio Survivor" McConnell.
There are certainly no mRNA "vaccines" that are either safe or effective.
I get my medical information from people who are medical experts in epidemiology and infectious diseases, not someone who posts in the comments on blogs on the internet.
As do I.
Thersites, that is not what RFK said. he said there are No vaccines that are safe. He's openly cast doubt on the polio, measles and mumps vaccines among others. He's openly claimed, without ANY evidence, that vaccines cause autism.
So you can make your statement, but that is not what your preferred candidate to head up HHS said.
I get it... you're invested in Trump and his choices. But really? You guys can't just admit that RFK is a kook?
Apparently not.
Because you don't want good governance. You want to win and own the libs. Even if it means bad policy or bad policy outcomes.
The sole mRNA vaccine are those for Covid. I took all the shots, reasonably
heathy at 84 (unless declared deceased by Dr. Thersites!! My Virology professor daughter keeps me updated.
Much evidence (ala Covid) has been suppressed. Perhaps after RFK jr's stint we'll learn much more about the causes for the EXPLOSION in autism in the US.
We’ll chalk that comment up to nothing more than a conspiracy theory, since you provide nothing for evidence.
RFK, JR., is a crackpot, whose brain was probably altered from his FIFTEEN YEAR heroine addiction.
His opinion on autism would be as scientific as his screwball pronouncements on vaccines. Kennedy is neither an epidemiologist nor a virologist. He holds no degree in any of the medical sciences nor has he done any serious medical research.
One would have to be naive to think RFK,Jr., was anything more than a performative charlatan.
Once again Joe, independent of one's views on Covid vaccines, you failed, like Thersites to address the salient issue of RFK's own words. Kennedy made, and you for some reason ignored this statement...
"there's no vaccine that is safe and effective."
He didn't say it once, he has said it multiple times. And he's included the polio vaccine, the measles vaccine, mumps, rubella and more.
His opposition to those vaccines alone should be enough for all thinking people to reject him.
You, Thersites, Skud and probably -FJ of course seem to think differently
The dudes a nut.
