THER'S A NEW RESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE

BTW,  it is past 24 hours since the Felon-in-Chief took his soon-to-be-broken Oath of Office, and the Ukraine/Russia war IS NOT OVER.

Did Trump lie?

I didn't see you reference biden pardons of his family even though they have not been indicted, why is that. If you issue a pardon that implies guilt so the biden crime family is not immune from prosecution. Why would he pardon falsi for lying to the nation and costing the American people billions and children and education, again must be guilty.

The last meme is scary.
@skud - "why is that" Because tRUMP.

It's difficult to explain to someone who does not want to hear.

President Biden was investigated by the Trumpublicans in the House and the did not find evidence of a crime to impeach him.

So they want to start all over again, only this time they'd be able to gin up evidence now that a criminal is in the WH, and now because that criminal will be running the DoJ.

I'll also remind you that Trump is a convicted felon FOR REAL! He's the one that's a convicted crook, not Joe Biden, not Hillary Clinton, not Barack Obama.

The real dishonest convicted felon and sexual assaulter, Liar, Cheat, and Fraud is now in the WH.

A preventative pardon was given to stop the dishonest Trumpublicans from another fishing trip to catch Joe Biden with fake evidence, now that the criminal Trump heads our government.

You appear to be quite naive about these things.

Olga is precisely and exactly correct.

Further violence at the hands of the Felon MAGA President and his Proud Boys and Oath Keeper thugs are insured.

Some folk, especially the MAGA cons like skud, prefer to keep their ears plugged and their heads in the sand when it concerns The Felon President.

His both sides bullshit is exactly that bullshit. There is absolutely no similarities or equivalencies.

America is now officially moving backwards into a deep destabilizing darkness. The very environment The Felon President has spent his life in.

"Paradoxically, however, Trump’s reckless venality is a reason for hope. Trump has the soul of a fascist but the mind of a disordered child. He will likely be surrounded by terrible but incompetent people. All of them can be beaten: in court, in Congress, in statehouses around the nation, and in the public arena. America is a federal republic, and the states—at least those in the union that will still care about democracy—have ways to protect their citizens from a rogue president. Nothing is inevitable, and democracy will not fall overnight." --Tom Nichols.

Skud... whatever one's views, I would have thought all Americans could agree that beating US Federal police officers, brutally according to the GOP controlled US Senate, should bring down the wrath of the US government.

I remember a day when this was not controversial.

-VP Elect JD Vance said Trump should not and would not do it.
-GOP Sen Collins said J6 was a "Dark day in our history" and the US should not pardon the violent offenders.
-GOP Senator Lindsey Graham said "I don't care if you went there and spread flowers on the floor. You breached the security of the Capitol. You interrupted a joint session of Congress. You tried to intimidate us all. You should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law" and that "pardon would be wrong".
-GOP Rep Elise Stephanik said on the House floor that "Americans have a Constitutional right to protest and freedom of speech, but violence in any form is absolutely unacceptable and anti-American."

These statements and more from other GOP Senators and leaders were made years before Trump actually signed the pardons of all J6 protestors last night.

Now those people are silent, without much problem at all. What changed Skud? Why did those US Government leaders flip flop?

Skud, you can cry all you want about Biden pardoning his family so they would not be subject to costly "slapsuits" so Trump and his minions could inflict costly financial harm on them.

But anyone, you included, who thinks the J6 pardons by Trump are equivalent to those issued by Biden have been sniffing too much glue. In fact, before Jan 6, even Trump agreed with me.

In his EO of June 2020, he wrote Individuals and organizations have the right to peacefully advocate for either the removal or the construction of any monument. But no individual or group has the right to damage, deface, or remove any monument by use of force.

This includes, as a US Monument, the US Capitol Building.

Trump further stated... "My Administration will not allow violent mobs incited by a radical fringe to become the arbiters of the aspects of our history that can be celebrated in public spaces.

You see, Trump did not just allow "violent mobs incited by a radical fringe" to "damage and deface" the US Capitol, he set the violent mob free. And you apparently agree with him.

Your view of equivalency is misguided, wrong and horrible for any America to espouse.

Additional comments from some of the GOP on the Trump pardons of the men and women who attacked and brutally over 100 US Capitol Police Officers on J6...

From Mitch McConnell... “No one should excuse violence. And particularly violence against police officers.”

From Sen Bill Cassidy... “People who assault police officers, if they do the crime, they should do the time.”

From Sen Lisa Murkowski... “I’m disappointed to see that, and I do fear the message that is sent to these great men and women that stood by us,”

From Sen thom Tillis... “Anybody who is convicted of assault on a police officer, I can’t get there, at all. I think it was a bad idea.”

Why can't the entire GOP make statements like this? Do they not believe it? Or are too chicken, to afraid to buck the president, even when he clearly wrong?

Even GOP Toady Ted Cruz said... “I think there is a stark difference between acts of violence and peaceful protest...” He also called the acts of violence “qualitatively different” and “unacceptable from any political perspective.”

If Ted Cruz gets it, why is this so hard?

Rev,
Not a good week for presidents or ex-presidents because both of them commuted or pardoned convicted rioters, rapists, murderers and child abusers. Then one of them pardoned his family, after he pardoned his son who was a convicted felon, but it is only the president that receives the harsh treatment from you.

Both of them did wrong and I admit it was wrong for trump to pardon the rioters. I don't remember the biden family being convicted of anything so why pardon them but the other thousand or so convicted felons is a different matter? Oh that's right, trump may take action against them or he may use the next four years looking for something on biden. He will not have eight years to find something so his time is limited. In most criminal cases you find the crime then you find the perpetrator but in trumps case you find the perpetrator them you find the crime.
I hope this all goes away and joey b lives a life of bliss even through he won't realize it.

Tell me you get your news from a biased site...

Former President Biden was crystal clear as to why he gave preemptive pardons at the last minute. He based his decision on what the MAGA's were saying, that they would be going after the people Biden pardoned for the crime of serving their country with honor.

Fifteen months Comer investigated the Bidens. A year and three months of Comer going on TV to say his next witness was critical to the investigation only for witness after witness to flame out when it was time for the rubber to hit the road. And then Comer lies when asked what happened to his witness; suddenly they weren't the big thing claimed just the week earlier. No way to run an investigation but those GOP MAGA's sure do like to spend the money they claim is being wasted.

All this skud ignores. The bias presented by Comer skud believes without a shred of evidence yet you and I here on this blog we have to have first and second references, proof of an event happening... Where is the same demand of standards when it comes to MAGA skud? For pete's sake, one of Comer's witnesses was in freaking prison! So very reliable, yes?

It sounds as though, from the tone of your apparent hate for rational thinking skud, that bliss is a state of being that you're in search of. Good luck finding it.

Trump pardoned hundreds and hundreds of people who attacked and beat up police on J6. And you're here whining about Joe Biden who did not reward cop beaters and killers! What happened to you?

HEADLINE: "Biden grants clemency to 2,500 people convicted of nonviolent drug crimes" All the 1,500 offenders are “non-violent” and have been placed on home confinement for at least one year under the Covid-19-era CARES Act, the White House said, while adding that they had shown “successful rehabilitation and a strong commitment to making their communities safer.”

President Biden COMMUTED prisoners on death row to LIFE IN PRISON, just like many states in the US and abroad do to prisoners who commit violent crimes.

What you apparently have difficult understanding, skud, is that Hunter Biden is NOT the POTUS. Hunter Biden is not serving in any political office.

Trump, a convicted felon and adjudicated SEXUAL ASSAULTER, is the first POTUS to have that particular shameful precedent. You don't understand the difference.

Former President Biden was never indicted nor convicted of any crimes after the trumpublicans hounded him for years looking for one. Your inability to understand and accept that is YOUR problem, not anyone else's.

Donald Trump is the felon and sexual assaulter. And millions of Americans decided that a criminal instead of a prosecutor would be a shining example of respect for the law to represent the US to the world.

According to skud they are just fine if bad players weaponize the government to go after citizens. Former President Biden had no plans to pardon anyone in his family. Wasn't going to do it. Months and months of questions and he always said no. And then... Comer went on TV. Jordon went on TV. Graham, Cotton, Scott, Bannon (not a politician but in the circle)... so many MAGA politicians all with the same message - there may not have been evidence to charge the Bidens but we are going to prosecute and question and make up charges from here to the end of time. So yeah, he preemptively pardoned all the citizens adjacent to himself because the MAGA-sphere told us all what they planned to do.

Why is this a difficult subject for skud to understand? Humans behaving in bad faith do not get the benefit of the doubt. There is no 'may' skud. MAGA said they were going to do it. They told Fox, OAN, Kirk, Landau, Bannon, Rogin, and so many other voices in the MAGAsphere that if they hadn't followed through their base would have eaten them alive.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them. I believe MAGA. If there is a low where they won't go I've yet to find it. Biden was correct, these are extraordinary times and he took extraordinary measures to ensure citizens who did nothing more than serve their country with honor were protected. He took extraordinary measures to protect citizens who did nothing more than be related to Joe Biden. Last I heard being related to a person isn't a crime but to MAGA, apparently being born a Biden is all the proof they need to prosecute any Biden to the ends of the earth.

We are so screwed. We can fight the government. We can fight the media. We can fight the fan base, although interacting with skud... if the rest of MAGA is as willfully ignorant as skud.... Honestly, willfully ignorant wasn't a square on my 2025 hellscape bingo card.
