YOU WERE WARNED

Rick Wilson:

"Imagine a country perched on the edge of a political cliff, trembling in the shadow of an authoritarian leader. Elected officials, business elites, and even everyday citizens know they’re dealing with a dangerous man who does not respect democratic norms, the rule of law, or basic human decency.

He wants others like him by his side—deficient, broken people—the cruel, sadistic, ugly, and jealous. He wants this broken soul reflected in the distorted, dirty glass of the mirrors held aloft by his minions. He wants men whose character is a slurry of greed, lust, avarice, and weaknesses.

Donald Trump is that authoritarian, and Pete Hegseth is the modern-day American Psycho Trump wants in charge of the Defense Department."

"Watching the pathetic, groveling Republicans in the confirmation hearings for unqualified and morally vacant party-boy Pete Hegseth, that was the most potent takeaway: these people are terrified. Joni Ernst, who knows better, practically invited Hegseth over for a kegger and some time in the hot tub. The yahoos—Tuberville, Mullin, and a few more—reveled in their lowbrow bro-fest, but the normie Republicans reek of raw terror."

"Here’s the brutal truth: fear doesn’t stop authoritarians. It feeds them. Fear, like oxygen to a fire, only emboldens these leaders to become more dangerous, violent, and unrestrained. Too many people fail to grasp this fundamental political dynamic.

Call it Putin’s Law: the more fearful a nation’s people, business leaders, and elected officials are of an authoritarian leader, the more they inadvertently incentivize increasingly dangerous, destructive, and violent behavior from that leader."

As someone with more than a modicum of experience dealing with bullies I can confirm the fear response. It triggers the predator brain in bullies meaning you are the prey and if you don't fight to get away you will die. Or at least be so trashed you want to die. Death comes in many forms, not all of them physical.

Extra therapy this month as I figure out a way to balance my need to pop every bully in the nose, thereby becoming the bully myself and... well there is no other side. Once I figured out my suicidal ideation was fueled by the emotions and words hurled at me from my abusers that impulse turned dark, very dark. And if I'm walking this walk I know for a fact there are many others, not in therapy, who are struggling with the same dilemma. For those walking next to me please seek help. There are many resources in your local area. I advise you for yourself and those who love you to take advantage of the assistance.

For the smirkers who love to slide in with their sly smiles and gloating about how wonderful life is going to be with the incoming administration... your finding out part is coming too, not that you'll share with us when your life deconstructs. Fans of authoritarians always believe they, because of their sincere support for dear authoritarian, will never suffer consequences from being ruled by an authoritarian. I've read this book before, saw the movie, and researched the history motivating both. Yeah, good luck with your authoritarian regime. You're going to need it.

By the by, when everyone has been deported and the 'other' you despise is in prison or dead who do you think your authoritarian regime is going to focus on next? Just asking the question.

All it takes for evil to thrive is for good people to do nothing.

In America actual otherwise good people choose a lying filthy narcissit with stated authoritarian lust to lead the nation who is placing incompetent loyalists in charge of destroying our democracy.

Good job America. Our founders worst fear is coming to pass.

Screw you You Know Who and your filthy suck up oligarchs.

Well, Ms. Lisa, that rich coming from someone who worships Trump who promoted the Big Lie about the 2020 election and incited an insurrection against his own government, hoping his armed thugs would HANG MIKE PENCE.

Trump, to this day, has not conceded the 2020 election and refused to attend President Biden's inauguration.

Maybe YOU could persuade the convicted felon and sexual assaulter, Liar, Cheat, and Fraud to "Get Over It."

The Democrats conducted a peaceful transition of power when Trump won the 2024 election. No riots, no lying about who won, no beating Capitol police and causing their deaths. None of that.

That's what Trumpism did. But you and your MAGAs continue to be willfully blind to what Trump did to our country on that shameful, shameful day.

Maybe YOU'RE the ones who need to "get over it" and accept what you've put back in power.

Meanwhile, this from Conservative David Brooks:

"We live in a soap opera country. We live in a social media/cable TV country. In our culture you don’t want to focus on boring policy questions; you want to engage in the kind of endless culture war that gets voters riled up. You don’t want to focus on topics that would require study; you focus on images and easy-to-understand issues that generate instant visceral reactions. You don’t win this game by engaging in serious thought; you win by mere attitudinizing — by striking a pose. Your job is not to advance an argument that might help the country; your job is to go viral.

Pete Hegseth is of course the living, breathing embodiment of this culture. The world is on fire and what’s his obsession? Wokeness in the military. I went through high school trying to bluff my way through class after doing none of the reading, and in Hegseth, I recognize a master of the craft. During the hearings Hegseth repeatedly said he was going to defend the meritocracy. In what kind of meritocracy is being a Fox TV host preparation for being secretary of defense? Maybe in the one Caligula fancied when he contemplated making his horse a consul."

This is why we're on a trajectory to fail -- because of people like the above "Anonymous." Revenge is their and trump's religion. A country cannot achieve greatness by hoping for revenge on one half of its population.

We live in a country now so distracted by the constant underlying buzz of worthless noise we've forgotten just what made us a truly great country.

You Know Who has neither the intellect or insight to make anything great. Except the size of his narcissistic ego and his fat ass and gut.
