The Hegseth hearings

An email from a friend:

"As a victim of MST (military sexual trauma), I find it reprehensible that anyone would think an alcoholic who has been accused of sexual assault and who paid his victim off is the best choice for SECDEF.

Then again, they also elected an adjudicated sexual assaulter and convicted felon for POTUS."

For the next four years we can treat our Government by Olicarchy as nothing more than a sick aberration brought about by an ignorant plurality of uninformed followers of delusions. By the time the oligarchs of America are through the entire country will hate them and their member numbers will tremble in confusion and fear.

All without evidence Les. For every person who denigrates a candidate there are 10 who will paint them as a saint. Pictures or video would be conclusive but to say we have an anonymous source shows little proof. After trump was shown on video admitting he was evil and still won shows that people want results from a candidate and are willing to look past some issues. I should say most people look past rumors but as you have shown it depends on what party they are representing. Biden is rumored to accept bribes and you don't accept that yet hegseth is said to be a drunk and you accept that.

I have no doubt the senator from my neighboring state of Iowa, Joni Earnst, a victim of sexual assault, will vote to confirm Pete. Les does exasperation with Washington stuff better than anybody else but I have to take some of his thunder. Jesus H. Christ. One would have thought this lady would have had at least a few friends from all the republican senators that could have stood with her and told Trump no before this joker got to the hearing room. Fealtyto the king above all else. Man I tell ya.

Actually, skud, the people who worked with Hegseth at FAUX NOOZ attested to his drunkenness, and his own mother is on record calling him out on his satyriasis!

Hegseth, like RFK,Jr., and Trump , are noted serial adulterers -- which, apparently , is considered a shining moral attribute in Republican religious circles. The more Republican men break their marital vows, the more their followers admire them.

And yes, I know about the Democratic pols who've done the same, except the Democrats NEVER bragged about being the political party of "family values."

That would have been hypocritical, wouldn't it?

Hegseth is just a reflection of what Trump is himself -- except for his drunkenness. Juxtapose Trump's malignant narcissism with Hegseth's drinking and sexual carousing, and morally they're like binary stars.

Senator: I’ll speak in his defense because to err is human. Who among us hasn’t shown up drunk to work? Who here hasn’t cheated on their wife?

Hegseth: Please stop helping me

Senator: Who hasn’t taken off their pants at the zoo?

Aaaaaaand back into the gutter we go with Trump's choices!

Each candidate was chosen to wreck the department they would 'lead'.
Of course that would be a disaster in the private sector. The US has evolved about 250 years since the Revolution. The goal to dismantle it is beyond logical belief.
